Our main work
Interior painting in the northwest suburbs
Our main work: walls, ceilings, trim and doors in houses, townhomes and condos. One room or the whole place. Most bedrooms take a day.
What's in a normal interior job
- Moving furniture to the middle and covering it
- Drop cloths on floors, tape and plastic where it's needed
- Filling holes and dings, sanding, caulking trim gaps
- Spot-priming patches and stains
- Two coats on walls (more for big color changes)
- Cutting clean lines at ceilings and trim by hand
- Daily cleanup, then a walk-through and touch-ups with you
Prep is most of the job
We rate each room light, medium or heavy prep. Your quote shows which, so you know where the hours go.
Light prep
Nail holes, scuffs, a little caulk. Typical for walls painted in the last 5–8 years.
Medium prep
Hairline cracks, dents, open trim joints, a few patches to sand and prime.
Heavy prep
Water stains, peeling, glossy paint to sand, lots of patching or wallpaper residue.
Before and after
Before we come: your prep checklist
We move and cover the big furniture. These are the small things that make paint day go faster. Your checks are saved on this device only.
Common questions
Do I need to pick colors before you come out?
No. We can quote without colors. We'll bring a fan deck if you want help. Most people pick flat on ceilings, eggshell on walls and semi-gloss on trim. Try the finish quiz.
Do I have to leave the house?
No. We do one or two rooms at a time, so you've always got somewhere to be.
What paint do you use?
We use mid-to-upper-line paint from the big brands. If you have a brand or a leftover color you want matched, tell us.
How long does a room take?
A bedroom with light prep is usually one day. Whole floors take 3–5 days. Your quote will say.
Is there a minimum?
Yes. Small jobs have a minimum because of setup and travel. Ask and we'll tell you the number.
