Kitchen cabinet painting

Painted cabinets make a tired kitchen look newer without replacing anything. Most kitchens take 4–6 working days.

How we do cabinets

  • Doors and drawer fronts come off and get labeled
  • Degrease everything (grease is the most common reason cabinet paint fails)
  • Scuff-sand, and fill grain or dings for a smoother look
  • Bonding primer, then two coats of cabinet-grade enamel
  • Boxes are painted in place and the kitchen is masked off
  • Rehang, adjust hinges, new hardware if you've got it

Common questions

How long is my kitchen out of commission?

Usually 4–6 working days. You can use the sink and fridge most of that time.

Will it chip?

Any painted cabinet can chip if it's hit hard. Good prep and cabinet enamel hold up to normal use.
